Short Information:
Indian Army has released the notification for the **66th Short Service Commission (Tech) – SSC Tech Entry (April 2026)** for engineering graduates. Applications are open from **23 July to 22 August 2025** for men and **23 July to 21 August 2025** for women. There is **no application fee**. Selection is via shortlisting and SSB interviews based on academic credentials. Training begins in April 2026 at OTA, Chennai. Apply online via joinindianarmy.nic.in.

Vacancy Details


Men – Civil (75), Computer Science/IT (60), Electrical (33), Electronics & Communication (64), Mechanical (101), Other streams (17)
Women – Similar distribution with 31 posts including widows’ entry as applicable. 

Eligibility & Age Limit

  • Engineering graduate (BE/B.Tech) in the relevant discipline (final-year students may apply provisionally).
  • Age between 20–27 years as on 01 April 2026 – born between 02 April 1999 and 01 April 2006. 

Selection Process & Stipend

  • No written exam – selection via shortlisting + SSB interview followed by medical exam. 
  • During training: ₹56,100/month stipend; post-training commissioning as Lieutenant (Level 10: ₹56,100–₹1,77,500).
