Short Information: Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released the official notification for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026. Candidates aspiring to become Primary (Classes 1-5) and Upper Primary (Classes 6-8) teachers in UP can apply online from 27 March 2026 to 26 April 2026. The UPTET 2026 Exam is scheduled for July 02, 03, and 04, 2026. Candidates must complete their mandatory One-Time Registration (OTR) before filling out the application form.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with a 2-Year D.El.Ed (BTC) Passed/Appearing.
  • OR Bachelor’s Degree with 50% Marks + B.Ed / B.Ed Special Education.
  • OR 10+2 (Intermediate) with 50% Marks and 4-Year B.El.Ed.
Upper Primary Level Class 6 to 8
  • Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree with 50% Marks + B.Ed Passed/Appearing.
  • OR Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree with a 2-Year D.El.Ed (BTC).
  • OR 10+2 (Intermediate) with 50% Marks and 4-Year B.El.Ed / B.Sc.Ed / B.A.Ed.
How to Apply Online for UPTET 2026 (OTR Mandatory)
  1. The application link will be activated on 27 March 2026.
  2. Visit the official portal: upessc.up.gov.in or updeled.gov.in.
  3. Step 1 (OTR): Click on the “OTR Registration” link. Complete the Aadhaar-based One-Time Registration to generate your OTR ID.
  4. Step 2 (Application): Log in using your OTR ID and password.
  5. Select the paper you wish to apply for (Paper 1, Paper 2, or Both).
  6. Fill in your educational details and upload your scanned passport-size photograph and signature.
  7. Pay the category-wise application fee and submit the final form. Keep a printout for future reference.
